Cat eco-aquamation

Cat aquamation

Buddy Paws provides eco-aquamation for cat families in Hong Kong. We arrange 24-hour immediate door-to-door collection, farewell, aquamation and ashes returned—so the next step is clear.

A clear comparison

How aquamation differs from flame cremation

Aquamation (alkaline hydrolysis) uses water and an alkaline solution at a lower temperature; traditional cremation uses high heat. Neither is automatically “more loving”—it depends on your values, budget and timing. Buddy Paws specialises in eco-aquamation.

Topic
Flame cremation
Eco aquamation
Process
High-temperature combustion
Water and alkaline solution, lower temperature
Experience
Flame, smoke and odour are often imagined
Smokeless, gentler hydrolysis
Environment
Typically higher energy use and air emissions
Generally lower energy use and emissions
Ashes
Ashes may be returned (plan-dependent)
Usually returned; volume is often greater
How it works

Collection, farewell, aquamation, return

  1. 01

    Collection

24-hour immediate door-to-door or clinic handover. Have approximate weight and the address or clinic name ready.

  2. 02

    Farewell

Choose a farewell room or a simple viewing, or a quiet, private handover.

  3. 03

    Aquamation

Eco-aquamation. Individual aquamation means only your cat is in that chamber, so ashes stay clearly yours.

  4. 04

    Ashes returned

Collected, dried and placed in your chosen vessel. Timing is usually counted in working days, depending on size and schedule.

Questions from cat families

What to know before you arrange

How is cat aquamation priced?

Mainly by weight, then individual aquamation, collection and memorials. Clear pricing with no hidden charges. Website figures are a guide; staff confirm the final fee.

Can you collect from a clinic?

Yes. Ask clinic staff to hold your cat and share the Buddy Paws number. If the cat ward is noisy, a quieter corner for handover helps.

Must we choose memorials immediately?

No. Complete collection and aquamation first; urns or paw prints can wait.

Is aquamation or cremation better for cats?

Aquamation is smokeless and lower temperature; cremation is high-heat combustion. Buddy Paws specialises in eco-aquamation. Suitability depends on the experience, emissions story and budget you care about—we will explain honestly.

Can you come immediately at night?

Yes. We offer 24-hour immediate door-to-door collection. For islands and remote areas we will confirm timing first.

How long until ashes are returned?

The aquamation itself is often about 18–24 hours (size-dependent). Overall it is usually a few working days. Schedule, weekends and weather can affect timing—we will explain when you confirm.
